Offline Website SoftwareShield Refugee Initiative is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-religious and non-governmental Organization established in 2014 to reignite hope and address socio economic transformation among Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, Returnees and their host communities through Relief, Education, Food Security & Livelihoods, Protection, Resettlement and Integration into their hosting communities as well working with their cradle countries to resolve the problems that forced their displacement/ migration.
We carry out development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects in 19 countries in 3 continents where we work for a world in which every person can be the protagonist of their own integral development, along with that of their community, even in emergency situations as we share our accomplishments and commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Shield Refugee Initiative implements relief and development projects in various sectors with a focus in Livelihoods and on self-discovery and recognition that the other person is a resource. Each project is conceived as an instrument to promote this awareness in everyone involved, has in itself a need for communicating and sharing, and creates an impact capable of generating a positive change.

OUR APPROACH
In project implementation, SRI uses the following approach:
Start from the value of the person, who is never defined by the circumstances in which s/he lives.
Consider the person always in his/her family and community context.
Learn from experience and capitalize on the lessons learned.
Accompany and let ourselves be accompanied, recognizing that we all share the same human experience.
Involve all stakeholders: encourage the participation of beneficiaries, providers, partners, donors, and the private sector.
As part of our mandate we have committed to participating in the United Nations 2030 Agenda and future goals through a select and cross-cutting SDGs
